PURPOSE
NULL SPACE World aims to promote, develop, and make accessible contemporary visual culture, design, art, architecture, digital culture, and interdisciplinary creative practices. The foundation seeks to provide an independent cultural platform where makers, designers, photographers, filmmakers, artists, and other creative voices can develop, explore, present, and deepen new work from a substantive perspective. In particular, the foundation focuses on practices in which different disciplines converge and through which new perspectives on imagery, design, and the contemporary living environment are developed. The foundation seeks to achieve its objectives, among other things, by:
- developing, organising, and implementing cultural, creative, and educational programmes;
- initiating and producing new artistic and design-oriented work;
- organising exhibitions, presentations, installations, and other public activities;
- developing and publishing digital and physical publications;
- organising lectures, interviews, discussions, workshops, and other forms of substantive engagement and reflection;
- supporting and presenting makers and creative talent;
- encouraging interdisciplinary research, experimentation, and collaboration;
- making art, design, and contemporary visual culture accessible to a broad public;
- entering into collaborations with cultural institutions, makers, educational institutions, and other relevant organisations;
- raising, receiving, managing, and allocating financial resources for social, cultural, and creative objectives and projects.
The foundation has no profit motive. Any positive financial results and other resources are used to further the cultural and social objectives of the foundation. Within these objectives, re-seeing will serve as NULL SPACE World’s central programme of activities in 2027. Through this programme, makers are invited to develop new visual, cinematic, digital, spatial, or object-based narratives rooted in their own practices and to share them with a broader audience.
BOARD
The board of the foundation currently consists of:
Sen van Doorn: Chair
Sen van Doorn has served as a board member and Chair of the foundation since 5 May 2021. He is independently authorised to represent the foundation.
Noah Hubert Dackus: Board Member
Noah Hubert Dackus has served as a board member of the foundation since 1 January 2026. He is jointly authorised, in accordance with the representation provisions set out in the foundation’s articles of association.
The board is responsible for determining and overseeing the foundation’s policies, the substantive and organisational development of NULL SPACE World, financial management, and the careful allocation of resources in accordance with the foundation’s objectives. In addition, the board ensures a clear separation between the cultural activities of NULL SPACE World and any commercial activities carried out under other organisations or entities. In carrying out its responsibilities, the board is committed to transparency, careful decision-making, financial accountability, and adherence to the principles of the Governance Code for Culture.
